We are an organization of individuals, families, and businesses who support the Library through advocacy, membership, volunteerism, and donations.
Our members appreciate the many services that the Library offers and we want these services to meet the needs of the community. Our members view the Library as an educational, research, and cultural center and as a dynamic resource within the community.
The Friends mission is to act as a nonprofit, independent organization which raises funds to support the Library and which helps the Library become better known, better supported, and better funded. The Friends is a membership organization which serves as community ambassadors, they advance Library awareness, and promote the use of the Library and its programs and resources.
Since 2003, the Friends have partnered with one of our most treasured institutions chartered in 1758 by King George II. Our mission to support the Library Company is carried out by Friends and library patrons who care about the City of Burlington and Burlington Township. The Friends are grateful for and depend on volunteer efforts of leaders who inspire concerned citizens to work effectively with the dedicated library staff in support of The Library Company.
